Verdantis / Interior life

Habitats

How people live.

Private rooms shaped around light, comfort, growth and belonging.

01 — Sanctuary

The room that restores you

A home in Verdantis is asked to do one difficult thing well: let a person recede from the city without leaving it. Light arrives as weather, not as a setting. Walls keep conversation where it was spoken. Air stays temperate because the room was drawn for that work.

Partitions yield. Screening thickens. Furniture finds another arrangement. The occupant is not managing a display. The room is keeping its word.

02 — Neighbourhood

Company, when wanted

A garden, a kitchen, a terrace, a workshop, a quiet lounge — they sit a short walk from the door. Childcare and learning rooms occupy the same plate as the homes they serve. Family life does not have to leave the neighbourhood to find care.

No one is scheduled into community. The table is set. The door can stay closed.

The neighbourhood is near. It is not required. Join the table, or keep the threshold yours.

03 — Table

Food at the scale of a household

Herbs at the terrace. A shared growing room on the mid plate. An orchard a lift away. Produce moves through the neighbourhood the way water moves through the street: as ordinary work, not as spectacle.

  1. 01

    Terrace herbs

Beds at the threshold, tended in passing, used the same evening.

  2. 02

    Growing room

Shared light and water, reserved by the week, close enough to be a habit.

  3. 03

    Orchard plate

Fruit held in common. Picked without ceremony, in season.

  4. 04

    Kitchen exchange

Surplus left for the next household. Nothing here is a marketplace first.

04 — Discretion

Homes that are not copies

Opacity, partition, light, and climate are personal. A family plate is not an individual plate. Objects stay. Materials are chosen. Screening is a curtain, a glaze, a planted edge — never a policy.

Quiet intelligence keeps the last pattern you set. It does not invent a better version of you. You can see what is being held. You can release it. The resident remains in control.

  1. Screen

The city recedes without being erased.

  2. Dim

Evening light that does not perform.

  3. Hold

A room that keeps one conversation.

  4. Arrange

Furniture and partition as a daily choice.

05 — Stewardship

The building tends itself

The habitat learns patterns, but never owns them.

Facades shade. Plates keep rain. Air moves because the section was drawn for it. Plants are watered as structure. Sensors notice drift. Maintenance is predicted, not dramatised.

The habitat learns the hours you keep so it can stop asking. It does not tell the pattern to anyone else.

Beyond the room

Life continues past the threshold.
